We have had great concerns in the music industry where artistes complain of poor pay. Event organizers have been on the receiving end being accused of walking away with huge chunks of money contrary to the efforts put.
We have come up with some great reasons that has been making rounds in social media and decided to share with you. This is directed to event organizers who are not willing to pay artiste’s well.
Here are reasons why you need to pay an artiste needs to pay well.
1.You are hiring some one to perform at event .
2.That person spent money to come to an event to perform.
3.The same way you invested in your event that artiste also invested in his music and it is only fair to remunerate them for their efforts.
4.Its a source of livelihood for the artiste who only depends on that music/event to earn from.
5.The artiste’s/musicians spent a lot to train to be the artiste’s they are.
6.Theirs a lot of cost spent by artiste’s during rehearsals, dancers , and location of training.
7.The artiste has to pay his/her manager , marketing manager and brand manager.
8.Imagine if the little amount you are willing to pay them will be able to cover house rent, water , electricity , food, clothing and other expenses.
9. Without artiste’s at the event then to attract audience to your event will be very hard.
10. Paying some one for their efforts wont make you poor.
