TV presenter Larry Madowo almost land into trouble at an American airport after he was found carrying a stash of Royco cubes,which the security authorities at airport suspected to be drugs.
Apart from the Rocyo cubes sachets , he also had packets of ujimix flour which he taking to his friends in London.
Narrating his ordeal on his Facebook page the outgoing TV host noted that the security guy had unpacked his bag without his permission after he was ordered by the first officer to go to counter number 2, where he would be attended to.
Even after explaining that what he was carrying were food stuffs , the officer went ahead and opened the packs testing them for heroine,marijuana and opium.
“I just want to make sure that they are what you say they are,” said the officer.
After a series of tests he sealed the packs with a blue tape that was so conspicuous read his post.
Despite the embarrassing ordeal he under went at the airport,the presenter was happy to have back his stash of Royco cubes, an ingredient that is highly regarded by the Kenyans in the diaspora and the packs a of porridge flour.
Madowo termed the incident,as all worth it when the Ujimix and Royco cubes make their way to the UK and to grateful hands.
