Nyota Ndogo and Ali B in jaza lorry charity

Giving back to the community is an important aspect of corporates or individuals saying thank you for the continued support by the community or just lending a helping hand to the community. Songtress Nyota Ndogo and her Coast based colleague Ali B are part of the Jaza Lorry Charity Concert, an event aiming at raising money and collecting foodstuff to help combat drought that has stricken the county.

Nyota has been involved in a campaign for women and children in Ganze, and has come out to say that a lot more has to be done.

“It is sad when you visit these homes and see what the locals are undergoing. While we may have personal contributions to this event, I want to urge our fans and fellow musicians to come in large numbers and help support this great initiative,” she stated.

The event being conducted by Red Cross Kwale Branch, will be happening on 26th November 2016 at the Ukunda Showground, with the entry fee being Sh100, with an option of carrying 2kgs of maize floor, sugar or rice.
