This is one amazing meditation by our brother Samukat who is also a youth pastor to this current generation. Samukat brings to light what the holy spirit told him of the aspect of “traffic lights”.

“I AM NOT YOUR TRAFFIC LIGHTS!!!”
I was in a recital meditation on JOHN 16:13-15, which reads thus:
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you
My spirit stopped at and echoed within me again and again the part:
“…and he will shew you things to come.”
At that moment I discerned the presence of the Holy Ghost, like gentle breeze brushing over me. And the Spirit whispered to my spirit saying,
“I am not your traffic lights Sam!”
“What? What do you mean by that?” I asked.
“I am not your traffic lights!” He said again.
“I don’t get it” I said scratching my head.
“What is the work of traffic lights, what do they do?” He asked me.
“They tell you when to stop, get ready and go…but what’s it got to do with you?” I asked.
“When do traffic lights work, the present, past or future?” He asked.
“Of course in the present” I burged in.
Then he told me something that is so life changing that turned around my misconceived perspective that many share in. That is why am sharing this with you so that you can be liberated as I was. This is what he told me:
“Many people think that I am, and operate like traffic light of which am not. Many think, like traffic lights, my work is to tell them: ‘stop’ ‘get ready’ ‘go’ ‘do this’ ‘do that’. And that is not really my work”
I still was not in the picture. Because if the Holy Ghost is not to us traffic lights, telling us what to do, what not to do, where to go and where not to go, then who? Then he said to me,
“Recite that part of the verse again…”
“…and he will shew you things to come.” I recited.
“Is that in the future or in the present?” He interjected.
“In the future” I said my eyes widening in a ‘now-i-get-it’ mode.
“Why do I tell you what is to come? Is it not so that you may prepare yourself for what is ahead? If I were to tell you what should be now you would not have prepare yourself for anything, should you?” I kept silent thinking on it while listening at the same time.
“Many people deal with me like traffic lights; expecting me always to tell them what is. But that is not my work. My work is to show or to reveal to you now, what is to come.” I interrupted in the conversation,
“Who then should show us what is in the present if not you?”
He said to me
“Recite Psalm 119:105…”
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” I said.
“You see?” He said almost in a tone of laughter,
“You use a lamp to look at things that are immediate… is that not the present?”
“Wah!!!” Was all I could say with my eyes now really wide almost popping out my eye-sockets. Then He continued,
“Many lamps make a light. And it is by the light that you are able to see beyond your feet and ahead in your path. Now recite Psalm 119:11”
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
Then He said,
“That Word that you have hid in your heart is what I use to reveal to you what is to come so that you prepare for what is ahead. Now if you have no Word hid in your heart, what do I have to work with? For I take from what is the Word’s and shew it to you…what is to come. It is when you have the Word and live according to it in the present that you find direction in the present, in other words you get to know what to do and what not to do; where to go and where not go. Recite Psalm 119:9…”
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy Word.”
He continued,
“You see? Taking heed according to the Word is a consistent progressive present process. That is your traffic lights. I AM NOT YOUR TRAFFIC LIGHTS!!”
