First things first before we jump into the topic at hand its good I brief you about the empire Tv series.

Empire” has what’s expected of a soap opera set in the world of hip-hop. Power, sex, drugs and violence are among the key plot points, and there’s even original music (supervised by platinum hit maker Timbaland) for extra credibility.
The show follows Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), who went from gangster to rapper to CEO of a successful music empire. After being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Lucious realizes one of his three sons must take over the company. Among his options are his business-savvy oldest, his budding rap star youngest and his middle child, Jamal, a talented singer-songwriter who has long been pushed aside in the family because of his sexuality.
With everyone talking about it I just couldn’t find myself watching after the first 10 minutes of the show. I just stopped it and deleted it from my playlists. Not that it doesn’t start with a nice studio session but it just made me feel like vomiting and dirty after seeing what the script writer had prepared my mind to watch.
It felt like the snake in the garden of Eden talking to Eve, please take a bite. They have colored it well but giving you something non-spiritual in return.
First of all I am a respecter of peoples life but after seeing how the producer put me in a position of watching two guys pretending to be in a relationship, I couldn’t handle it. Not that I hate gay men but my spirit just can’t handle seeing them washing their dirty linen in public.
As a christian who has been raised in a deeply founded family I wish to protect anything that enters my mind. Why is this important you may ask ? But the fact of the matter is whatever you watch actually affects how you perceive life and in the end will affect your decisions, relationships and conversations with other people.
Unlike the rest of the Christians who are happily posting about the series on Instagram or facebook you will not find me posting about it because in the end I might cause a brother to fall in sin. At least don’t tweet about it, if you still wan’t to watch it to please your flesh desires.
I am my brother’s keeper and wouldn’t be part of something that my GOD doesn’t like. As the bible says let those who have ears hear what the spirit says.
