Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama Makes The Cut For African Player of the Year

Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama who plays his professional soccer at Southampton FC in England has been shortlisted among the nominees who will be named the African Player of the year 2015.

Victor Wanyama who has been rising on the football radars since his days in the Kenya Premier League will be fighting for the top award with likes of Kidiaba from Congo, Yaya Toure from Manchester City, Gervinho and his team mate Sadio Mane who make the 37 man list.

The 37 man list will be trimmed to a 10 man list in the coming month and later to top 3 players who will fight for the top African Award.

No Kenyan player has ever won African Player of the year before.
