Royal Media Services Pulls Another Very First with the Launch of Vernacular TV stations

Royal Media services is soon set to follow suit as the two other main stream television stations KTN and Nation TV who boost of owning sister stations. The new addition to the Royal Media services stable will be the launch of vernacular TV stations. Another very first by company who are the pioneers of vernacular radio stations in the country.

The first to be launched will be Inooro TV, a 24-hour Kikuyu language channel to be followed by the opening TV stations for Ramogi, broadcasting in Dholuo, Chamgei (Kalenjin) and Musyi TV which will broadcast in Kamba.

The launch of the vernacular TV stations  is aimed at consolidating  market leadership through diversification of TV content that is responsive to market and consumer needs, in the wake of the recent migration from analogue to digital TV broadcasting in Kenya.

The vernacular stations will offer its viewers news bulletins and also entertainment programmmes ranging from soap operas,musical shows, cultural shows, game shows and religious shows.

The MD Wachira Waruru noted that stations will certainly offer unrivaled content just as the vernacular radio stations.
