SAVE A LIFE : Patricia Cherono Was Abandoned By Family And Now Her Heart Valve Has Narrowed To 0.4 CM

Have you ever been in that position where you need someone to stand with you and you end up finding no one ? Well that’s the life of Patricia Cherono a lady who now needs medical support that will help her recover from a heart problem that has narrowed her heart valves from the normal 5cm to 0.4 cm.

Having been born like a normal girl Patricia’s life was beautiful but when she was 8 years old her life changed when she was diagnosed with Mitral Stenosis, a valvular heart disease that is characterized by the narrowing of the valve meaning less blood flows in the body. The upper heart chamber swells as pressure builds up making it hard to breathe.

Patricia would have been able to sort this out as any Kenyan but she is an orphan who was left in the hands of her grand parents and relatives. Probably if they were well off they would have assisted her but at this moment they have left her all alone making her friends from school to take the initiative of trying to help a sister they came to know.

Patricia Cherono now needs surgery that is totaling Ksh. 950,000/- which luckily the friends have covered part of it. The hospital requirements is that the patient has to pay 750,000/- as down payment and the friends have been able to raise 200,000/-,  meaning 500,000/- is the balance that is needed to cover the rest of the down payment.

Probably it would be hard to understand where Cherono is coming from but life is a cycle and we can never know what will happen next to any of us. The best thing is to try and help the lady who has less chance of living if worse comes to worse.

Patricia is set to undergo the replacement valve surgery at Karen Hospital if the bill shall be covered.

In adults, mitral stenosis occurs most often in people who have had rheumatic fever. This is a disease that can develop after an illness with strep throat that was not properly treated.

Please help Patricia.
