Senator Mike Sonko Partners With Kenya Red Cross To Train Sonko Rescue Team

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko visited the Kenya Red-cross Society offices in Nairobi where he met with Kenya Redcross CEO to discuss on some of the best ways to respond to medical emergencies.

With the buzz that Sonko Rescue team has been creating lately Mike Sonko deemed it fit to train his rescue team as they plan to play a major role in Emergency services in Kenya. Kenya Red Cross and St Johns Ambulance have been the major players in rescue operations in Kenya for years and now they will be joined by Mike Sonko rescue team to reduce work load and create efficiency of operations.

Mike Sonko confirmed the news by sharing this :

 We have agreed to organize an exchange program where 1,000 Sonko Rescue Team members will be trained by Kenya Red-cross at a cost of Kshs 2,000 per head and awarded certificates thereafter. I would like to express my gratitude to The Kenya RedCross Association for leasing 2 fully equipped ambulances to the Sonko Rescue Team fleet: The training will include but not limited to :• Basic First Aid Training
• CPR
• Emergency Medical Technician
• Occupational First Aid
• Advance Trauma support (ATLS)
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic life support (BLS)
• Disaster Management Fire and Safety Management
This partnership will continue strengthening our desire to help and serve the great people of Nairobi county and Kenya as a whole, with this new development, Sonko rescue team are delighted and ready to kick start this exciting journey of training advancement.
